The Story of Main Street Barber Cedar City Utah - (1964–2000s)

The shop space at 109 N Main Street has operated as a barbershop since about 1964. It was originally owned and run by Marlowe Imlay, who operated it as Marlowe’s Barber Shop. During this era, traditional small-town barber shops served as informal social hubs where locals gathered to talk, read newspapers, and catch up on community news.

The current owner, Nate Hopkins, took over from Marlow Imlay and renamed it to Main Street Barber in 2005. It continues the tradition of a classic barbershop for men and boys with services such as haircuts, fades, line-ups, beard trims, and straight-razor work.

I have been going to Nate for my haircut for several years now! I would recommend him to anyone wanting a good hair cut!
